Getting OpenGL to work on a Sony VAIO laptop

I bought a new Sony Vaio laptop.  VGN-NR330E, with T2370 dual processors, running windows Vista with the Mobile Intel Express Chipset Family. 

In trying out the New Visual editor I noticed that the Opengl did not work correctly so I could not use the dynamic 3D option.  After doing some extensive research I really did not find much help. 

I decided to update the driver, using the Sony update software that came with the laptop.  There did not seem to be an update to the display driver,  all I could do was install the original driver.  Next I went to Intel website and found the appropriate update, but it would not install because it was not an official Sony driver.  The solution to my problem was found here:
